* 2005, July 20 – Srinagar Bombing – killing 4 Indian Army personnel, one civilian.

* 2005, July 29 – Budshah Chowk attack – killed 2 and left more than 17 people injured.

*2005, October 18 – Assassination of Ghulam Nabi Lone

* 2005, 29 December – Terrorist attack, at IISC, Bangalore campus.

*2006, May 3 – militants massacred 35 Hindus in Doda and Udhampur districts in Jammu and Kashmir.

*2006, June 12 – one person was killed and 31 were wounded when terrorists hurled three grenades on Vaishnodevi shrine.

* 2006, 7 March – Terrorist attack in Varanasi kills at least 15 people and leaves more than 50 injured.

* 2006, 11 July – A series of coordinated bomb attacks strikes several trains in Mumbai, killing 209 people

* 2006, 20 November – Terrorist attack kills five people on a train in a remote area of West Bengal. * 2007, 25 August – Forty-four people are dead after two bombs explode in Hyderabad

* 2008, 13 May – Bomb blasts rock Jaipur. About 80 people are killed in serial blasts

*2008, 25 July – A series of seven bomb blasts rock Bangalore, killing 2 and injuring 20 and on the next day, a number of bomb blasts in Ahmedabad, kills 45 and injures over 160 people.

*2008, November 26 – November 29 – A series of terrorist attacks in Mumbai, kills 190, and injures at least 250. 

I hope that people of India this time, will elect a representative who works for the welfare of people and development of their region.

Watched US open 2008 mixed double final

Today I watched US open-mixed doubles final between Leander Paes (India) and Cara Black (Zimbabwe) vs. Jamie Murray (GBR) and Liezel Huber (US). Paes and Black won the champianship 7-6, 6-4. This is Paes’s 8th Grand Slam title (4th in Mixed double) and Blacks 7th Grand Slam title. I like the their effort to win each point and their coordination was simply awesome.

I am looking forward to watch Rafael Nadal and Federer again in final like it happened in Wimbledon and French open.
